Stuff in my head

There is something quite magical about some things. I say magical because I don't fully understand why these things speak to people on such a profound level, without any aparent reason. Some things that make us feel in certain ways instantly.
Like how soothing fire can be.
I remember a few years ago, walking into this amazing church in Vienna. It's called Votivkirche and it's absolutely majestic. Somewhere inside was a huge table filled with tiny candles. I myself am not a religious person, but I stood there for about five minutes just looking at the little flames. The warmth, the silence and just the vibe in there gave me this deep feeling of being safe, like home, even though, if you look at the place, it's a little creepy.

It's the same with music. Listen to some sort of classical, or even choir music, and I just mellow down and feel like everything is fine.

Amazing how much past realities, like the link between fire and safety or home, are still very much alive in us.

People are strange

So you can refrain from eating meat, eggs and dairy, but you can't help wearing leather?
Bine, pana la urma e ceva in plus si nu in minus. Adica mai bine decat sa si mananci dinastea, si sa mai si porti piele si blanuri, dar totusi.
E vorba de o tipa de pe Discovery Travel and Living, care a venit la LA Ink sa-si faca un tatuaj cu Pamantul si semnul de la reciclare, pentru ca, de cand a facut copii, si-a dat seama ca trebuie sa faca ceva ca ei sa aiba un viitor bun pe planeta asta. Asa ca a inceput sa recicleze, si apoi treptat a devenit vegana. Avand in vedere ca femeia purta pantaloni de piele, nedumerirea tattoo-artistului a venit foarte natural: But you wear leather. Si in mod ciudat, raspunsul ei a fost doar: Yeah, I do. :)) Wtf?
Vorbind din punctul de vedere al unei pofticioase incurabile, cred ca as putea mai degraba sa renunt la haine cu totul, daca chiar ar trebui sa fac ceva pentru planeta, decat sa nu mai mananc lapte sau chestii care contin lapte gen CIOCOLATA sau TORT, sau sa nu mai mananc hamburgeri si pui si toate chestiile astea bune.
Don't get me wrong, I like clothes as much as the next gal, but still. How can you care as much as to quit eating all the good stuff, but not as much as to stop tearing the skin off animals to wear it?

Post TV pt oameni cu mai mult de 4 clase

Serios. Cat de scump poate sa fie sa-ti deschizi un post de TV?

De fapt, televiziunea e cam pe duca, si nu pentru ca nu e mai convenabil sa ai o telecomanda in mana si un ecran mai mare decat cel de la calculator la care sa te uiti, ci pentru ca 1. cei care fac televiziune se adreseaza maselor pt profit maxim si 2. publicitatea ne omoara.

Eu una m-as uita cu placere la un postul TV "Random Good Stuff TV". Ce-as da pe el: cateva ore de muzica de buna dimineata dimineata, cateva stiri mega relevante si preferabil pozitive, short movies care sunt foarte bune si fun to watch si facute de oameni fara bani dar cu o tona de talent, filme bune, interviuri cu oameni interesanti (gen aia de pe TVR1, Profesionistii, cu tot felul de oameni cu idei si initiativa). As da chestii gen telenciclopedia, o emisiune de facut mancare buna, de facut origami, orice. As da si reclame, dar numai dinalea bune, facute de oameni cu talent si idei, nu orice doamna grasuta care tine o punga de detergent in mana. As primi orice idee, orice initiativa, orice campanie facuta inovativ si care transmite ceva.
